Here we go! This was the first day on the job and I quickly discovered that you have to tell everything what to do or nothing gets done. There were probably 10 people standing around and when I asked what everyone was waiting for, nobody really knew. There were theories. But what it turned out to be was the dozer operator was waiting for the okay to plow through the hill going into the site. He wanted to make sure there were no power lines or pipes he was going to plow through. Then I was told it would take up to a week to get people out to flag everything. So I made an executive decision and yelled "let 'er rip! (I did know the power and phone lines stopped at the posts on the left and water and sewer were in the middle of the street).
